JP was born and raised in Central Texas and knew he'd devote his life to farming at an early age. After graduating from Texas Tech in 2003 he began his crop insurance career as an adjuster. He then became a licensed agent and launched JPJCI in 2005. He also owns and operates Jansen Family Farms with his father with headquarters in Hays and Limestone counties.

Kylie joined the JPJCI team in 2020 to manage operations. She quickly earned her informal yet necessary role of command central. In 2021, she became a licensed crop insurance agent focusing on serving pasture, rangeland, and forage clients. She stays busy with three daughters and a husband as well as ensuring prospects and clients are served well when it comes to their crop insurance needs.

Dena fell in love with JP and married him knowing farming would be their way of life. She is a CPA, Founder & CEO of Dena Speaks, and proud manager of their home and two children. She supports the JPJCI team in various ways so they can focus their time and energy on serving prospects and clients.
